Lion server faced DDoS attack

[UPDATE #4] After the long search and cooperation with network NOC we found the domain which was hit on the server. Right now we have suspended the abused domain and started the investigation for this matter. Once again, we are sorry about this issue caused the dowtime.

[UPDATE #3] The attack restored and we are working on stopping it from our network.

[UPDATE #2] The DDoS was stopped and the server is functioning normally. Once again please accept our apologies.

[UPDATE #1] We still investigating how to stop the DDoS and will update the news shortly with more detailed information. Thank you for your patience.

At 01:26 PT, we caught a huge DDoS destined to Lion server using UDP 0 malformed packets. Size of attack was 3Gbps/275Kpps and is already saturating switchport. Due to the size of the attack, we have null routed the Lion server. We will keep this null route for 30 minutes to see if the DDoS stopped. We apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This is the new date for the maintenance that was postponed earlier in the month.

The following notification is to inform you of a scheduled maintenance on the UK DC Network being carried out by our fibre provider.

Start: 2011-09-30 03:00 BST
End: 2011-09-30 05:00 BST

Affected Services:
All layer 2 and IP traffic coming from UK DC.

Service Impact:
Host1Plus.com UK DC have two diverse fibre waves out of datacenter: one direct to Docklands and one via Milton Keynes. During this maintenance, both legs, one after the other, will be hard down while work is being carried out. While the line is down, all traffic will automatically re-route via the alternate leg, and vice versa. Customers may notice a slight increase in latency and a small amount of packetloss as the circuits re-route but there is not expected to be any total outage.

For each of the fibre legs terminating in Maidenhead we will need to power down the optical amplifiers for a period of approximately ten minutes per circuit.

Scheduled VPS Control Panel Downtime

[UPDATE #2] Relocation has been finished successfully and control panel is working as usual.

[UPDATE #2] Relocation has been started earlier than expected. Control panel will be down for 2 hours.

[UPDATE #1] As we scheduled update for last night but for some issues we will be doing relocation at 15:00 GMT +2.

We will do the database relocation of cloud vps control panel and the downtime will be for 2 hours (23:00 to 1:00 GMT +2). After the relocation of the database you will see the improvement of any operations like reboot, rebuilt, etc. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
