Apache is the most used web servers. It is free and compatible with many websites. This module has a variety of built-in features.  There are different web servers that have apache build in them. For instance, WampServer and XXAMP have the same features and capabilities like Apache. Although they work the same, Apache is the most recommended by most Web designers and programmers.

If you are supervising a website or a blog, you have heard about Apache. Most individuals who offer web space have apache installed in their Cpanel. This has made running websites very easy. Apache server can crowd most of the WebPages made from different scripting languages such as PHP, HTNM, HTM, Java scripts and many others. In addition, it can support most of the database engines like MYSQL.

Apache is very easy to use. It has a very comprehensible interface. Beginners or anybody new to the field of scripting and web hosting should use apache to kick-start their knowledge in the field.  A key feature in Apache is PHPMYadmin that will help you run and manage your dynamic web content. PHPMYadmin supports both PHP and MYSQL.

Below are general steps on how to install Apache

Step One

The foremost step is to download the latest apache module. It will cost you nothing since Apache is an open source. Apache downloads are available in different languages such as English, French and many other official languages across the world. Choose the language that is official in your country. Download should take you a few minutes.  

Step Two

If you download is complete you must have noticed that the file of Apache are zipped. The next stem from here is to unzip the files. A prompt window will appear for you to choose on where to extract the files. Choose the destination that you can conveniently access. Otherwise, you can install them on the same directory or anywhere else in the system.

Step Three

The third step is to install Apache. Installation will depend on the operating system you are running. However, in all of them you will have a pop up window that will act as your installation wizard. Click on next button until you are through with the installation process. Be sure to accept their terms and conditions by clicking on a checkbox on the same installation wizard

On the same wizard, you will be required to fill in your own information. On the first two-text boxes fill them with the word ‘Localhost’ and the third text box fill in with your own email address. After that click on next and let the installation to run. Once it is through a notification window will appear that you should click on the finish button.   

Step four

The fourth step is to tailor your installed apache. There are many manuals on how to modify apache. If you are a beginner, I recommend that you check out the certified manual on how to customize apache on their authorized website. If you are conversant with scripting languages, you can go ahead and tidy up it to suit your needs.

Step five

This is the preceding stride and it involves trying your apache. You can do this by toting up some of your files. If it does not work, follow the above steps carefully and if it works.
