Posted by Alex on 16 January 2009 01:30 PM

Custom name servers or vanity names, can be used to customize how your registered domain name information is displayed. They are primarily seen in a "Whois" lookup on your domain name. If you want to setup your own nameservers you need to follow this guide:

1. Create ns1 and ns2 A record for your desired domain to use. The A records should be the actual server IP address.
2. Go to your registrar for regsitered domain and change to your created nameservers. In about 24-72 hours domain's DNS will be refreshed.
